Alright. Sound! Euphonium is one of my favorite anime series of all time. Primarily because it reminds me about the all the great things about being in school band and is spot on with the experience of being in a school band (minus the yuri-bait, likable characters, and competent band members in general). The one that really gets to my heart out of all the characters in this anime is Haruka Ogasawara. Not only is she a great saxophonist but her personality is one I can connect with on a personal level. She’s very timid despite being in a leadership position but I would take her over any of the section leaders I had to put up with back in my school days.
Though she is doubtful of her own skills and abilities, she does have the potential to pull through tough challenges. An admirable trait worthy of being on this website. She’s very cute and wants the best for her bandmates rather than trying to stress them out and have them quit out of frustration and dissatisfaction. She understands that band at the end of the day, is a fun elective but it’s not a bad thing to try to do the best you can possibly can, even if you don’t think you are the best player out there.
